Y'vusi (Jebusites)...

Why in the world would anyone, especially Jews care about Y'vusi  or their history?  Good question! Nu? In fact it is the same question I asked when I believe Yehovah nudged me to write about them.

The Y'vusi  were ancestors of Kena'an (Canaan) who was an ancestor of Ham, Noach's (Noah's) son.

Ham, saw his father shamefully exposed. When Noach awoke, he knew what his youngest son had done to him.  He said, "Cursed be Kena'an; he will be a servant of servants to his brothers."

When angel of Yahovah appeared to Moshe, in a fire blazing from the middle of a bush. the angel of Yehovah told him that he had come down to rescue his people and to bring them to various places including the place of the Y'vusi .

From the area of Mount Sinai, Yehovah said to Moshe that when his angel went ahead of him and brought him to the Y'vusi, that Yehovah  would make an end of them.

Before our ancestors crossed the Yarden (Jordan) Yehovah ordered then to completely destroy the Y'vusi.

The descendants of Y'hudah could not drive out the Y'vusi, so the descendants of Y'hudah lived with the descendants of Y'vusi in Yerushalayim.

Joshua gave that portion of land to the tribe of Binyamin. The people of Binyamin did not drive out the Y'vusi who inhabited Yerushalayim; rather, the Y'vusi continued living with the people of Binyamin in Yerushalayim.

David captured Yerushalayim and bought a piece of land from Aravnah, a Y'vusi.

Shlomo (Solomon) built the first temple on Mount Moriyah, on that piece of land.

Following that, Noach's word's were fulfilled,  Y'vusi  the descendents of Kena'an, became servants to their distant cousins.

But, that is not the bottom line.  The bottom line is that David bought the land and Israel has the legal the right of ownership.
