Do you know who you are?

Let’s start with the basics. You were born from above because of a decision made by a spirit. G-d is a spirit. He calls himself our Father. Our Father, who has all knowledge, all power and is present everywhere at the same time knows your name and what you will be doing at this exact time 10 years from now. He is eternal.

When you walk into a room, get on to a subway, enter a ballgame, or sit down in a deli, a child of G-d is on the scene.  You were chosen to be G-d’s child.

Selah…

Okay, now selah some more...

Now start acting like the child of someone who has total power not only in your own country, but in every country. He is not a world leader; he is a world creator!

The Jewish Holy Scriptures tell us that our Father knows every hair on our head.

When we are facing fear, we know that he has not given us a spirit of fear, but that he has given us a spirit of love, and power and of a sound mind

Now, considering our supernatural lineage, we have no need to go meshugenah every time in life that we are thrown a challenge.

G-d is not kvelling, “Oye, my kid is in trouble. What’s going to happen?  What am I going to do?”

The scripture tells us that ALL, which is A – L – L things, work together for GOOD, for those who love G-d and are called according to his purpose.

Think of the things that are concerning you right now.  What is going to be your chosen reaction to the negative in your life?

You know who your Father is, but do you know that he is love? The scripture don’t say he has love.  It says he is love.

If our problems are because of our own mistakes, we have an opportunity to learn.

Most of the time, what we need to learn is to quit having schpilkes and to wait until we know, because we know, because we know, that we have heard from G-d and then yield to him before we make any major decisions!

When we are in an incredible predicament, we have G-d, our Father G-d.

We need to lay aside all malice, bitterness and blame.  We need to put on the fruits of our Father’s spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Working within that framework, we can keep in mind that he is able to do more good for us than we can even think or ASK FOR!

So let us approach our difficult situations...

  1. Acknowledging him

  2. Knowing that the wisdom of this world is foolishness in G-d's sight

  3. Committing our path to G-d

  4. Asking for his wisdom

  5. Expecting favor to be a shield for us

  6. Consciously putting on righteousness as a breastplate.

Determining your actions and reactions by whose you are is a fruit of knowing who you are.
