Oye!  G-d loves us Jewish people so much!

The Torah is full of grace! Our election by G-d is not predicated on any special quality in us but entirely on God’s “grace,” rightly defined as “undeserved favor.” “Adonai did not set his love upon us or choose us because we were more numerous than any people, for we were the fewest of all peoples; but rather because Adonai loved us, and because he wanted to keep the oath he had sworn to our fathers.”

The Brit Chadasha tells us the Torah came through Moses and grace and truth from Yeshua.  Isn't that super!  What a good daddy G-d is to us.  He has given each of us the opportunity to receive the grace of the Torah plus the grace of having the fullness of Yeshua, who said that he did not come to destroy the Torah, but to fulfill it.

G-d brought us the Torah so we could learn how to live a healthier, happier and more prosperous life.  Then he brought Yeshua so that we could have more grace by having the Holy Spirit as an internal spirit of truth in each of us!  Truly that is grace upon grace.

The word grace is a combination of the Hebrew word "chen" meaning  grace or favor plus the word "chesed" meaning loyal love and kindness.  Yes Torah, grace and truth are all attributes of our G-d.  He never changes.

Just as through Moses G-d brought a sacrificial system so we could be clean before G-d, so too, through Yeshua G-d also brought a sacrificial system after the Tempel was destroyed.  Yes, Torah plus Yeshua, grace upon grace.

But we must not ever say ‘It is through the Lord that I fell away,’ for we are not to do the things he hates.  We should not say ‘It was he who made me go astray,’ for he has no need for a sinful person. The Lord hates all abomination, and those who fear him do not love it either. He made mankind at the beginning and left him in the hand of his own decision.  If we will, we can keep the commandments; and to act with faithfulness is a matter of intention. He has set before us fire and water: we must stretch forth our hand to whichever one we want.  Before us is life and death,  and whichever we like will be given to usHe has not commanded anyone to do wickedly,  and he has not given anyone license to sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us, but if we have a relationship with Yeshua and admit our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Yes, G-d will give you more grace.  Without earning it,  you can be granted the status of being considered righteous before G-d, through his son.  That is Yeshua's act of redeeming you from your enslavement to sin,  if you will trust in that which was accomplished by the Messiah Yeshua.

Grace is so hard for our natural mind to understand!  We must work our way to be separated from G-d, but there is no way to work our way to cleanliness.  To be truly clean we must acknowledge the futility of striving in our own strength and accept God’s free gift of being righteous which he has offered to us if we are in union with the Messiah, Yeshua.  That is grace he gives us when we respond to Yeshua with faith and  trust.
